- If the air conditioner is to be mounted on a wall then the exact dimension must be taken. If the air conditioner is window mounted, then compare its measurement to that of your window. See to it that the air conditioner fits perfectly in the window gap. Install the sill-mounted support on the window.
- The base on which an air conditioner is fixed must be firm. If it is a window-mounted air conditioner, ensure that the air-flow is smooth. This can be done by clearing any obstacles in the path of air-flow.
- Mark the centre of the window with a marker. Now remove the bracket which is kept in the box. Place the bracket in exact central position which has been marked. Fix the position of the bracket by hitting a screw. Now slowly and carefully try fitting the air conditioner in the sill-mounted support. Refer the manual of the manufacturer for this.
- You will hear a sound of clicking. This will confirm that the air conditioner has fitted perfectly.
- Try plugging the gap between your air conditioner and the window by pushing the window. Place the air conditioner by firmly with help of screws on the window frame.
- Plug in the air conditioner cord in the power socket. Your air conditioner is ready to use.

- An air conditioner does not cool at all- This may be due to thermostat failure. Try unblocking the condenser of the air conditioner by removing it and cleaning with a neat cloth then try running the air conditioner by inserting the newly cleansed condenser back. If this does not solve the problem, check the evaporator. Still after inspecting the evaporator if the problem persists, problem may be with the compressor. Call the manufacturer and report the problem.
- Cooling is done irregularly- This indicates that the distribution system of the air conditioner is out of order. Try maintaining the air conditioner system properly. This will solve the problem.
- Condenser does not turn on at all- Condenser is the fundamental unit of an air conditioner. If a condenser does not receive power supply, it obviously wont run. Inspect the circuit and look out for some broken wires and components. If the motor or the compressor of the condenser is faulty then call the customer care service to inform about the problem.
- Condenser does not function properly- This may be due to the blockage of the condenser. Also check the evaporator. Try cleaning the evaporator and condenser. Cut down the weeds and fungi which may be obstructing with the normal functioning of a condenser.
- Water drops continuously- This is a common problem. Try mounting the air conditioner, with its evaporator facing outwards. This will ensure that the evaporator ships the water out.
- Short circuit and sparks- Try to check the air conditioner standard input voltage. If the voltage level exceeds the stipulated limit then short-circuit of the components may occur. Try cutting off the extra current to the circuit. If any part has got blown out, then it must be bought to the notice of the service expert.
An air conditioner must be handled carefully. Periodic cleansing of the evaporator and condenser must be done. This is critical, as these are the basic units of an air conditioner. Also try to replace some faulty parts and components by contacting the manufacturer. Do not try to replace the circuit components on your own, as it needs the attention of a professional.
